Modern Packaging is seeking a Polisher to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing quality work, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working with their hands. Previous experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals who have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.
In this role, you will help produce high-quality finished products by polishing, deburring, and preparing metal components to meet company quality standards. You will work as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: - Operate small electric and pneumatic hand tools, as well as bench-mounted equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Deburr, polish, and finish metal components using a variety of abrasives, polishing equipment, and hand tools.
- Follow established work instructions, quality standards, and production procedures.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and appearance requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support other departments as needed.
- Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications: - Metal polishing, deburring, fabrication, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn new skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Overtime is often required
