Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required, including charge responsibility License: Active Compact License required upon start Certifications: ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, BLS Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Prior travel experience required - Skills checklist and proof of licensing required Description: Replacing a current staff member. The unit handles a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, and cardiac intermediate care patients. Neuro patients and CVA patients are also part of the patient population. The staffing schedule typically involves working two to three weekends a month, but this is subject to unit needs. All team members, including travelers, are expected to foster a supportive environment for students and new hires. Travelers must work at least one major holiday, such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day. Client may cancel assignments due to census changes with notice. A flexible contract for 36 or 48 hours is available, although block scheduling cannot be accommodated. Limited requests for weekend-only shifts will be considered. The ability to adapt to a teaching hospital environment is essential. All required documentation must be submitted by the specified deadline.
